The Altar Screen

the Screen

At the time of a general reordering of the chancel to mark the centenary of the church in 1980, the choir stalls were removed from their original position at each side, up to the east end and the oak chancel screen was moved to the west end.
Photographs taken by Bob Best in 1980, show the screen and altar in their original positions and some of the building work involved in moving the altar forward.
