Cecil DeBraux's funeral

The Loop

Being very hard of hearing I was delighted to find out that the loop system was now working and it was a real pleasure to be able to hear the sermon and any notices that were given out.  Maybe other people who are deaf will now adjust their hearing aids so that they can also hear the sermon.  BND

Midsummer Lunch.

Thank you very much to Janet and the social committee for organizing the excellent lunch last week. Everyone had a good time. We were especially pleased to be able to welcome Eva and Doreen. Thank you to our taxi drivers Chris & Fiona.

Back to Church Sunday 28th September 2008

This is a national initiative that we are taking part in at St. Matthew's. The idea is that we all think of people who used to come to our church but have stopped for whatever reason and then we invite & welcome them to our service. We will be keeping Harvest Festival on 28th September so it should be a popular service. More details will follow but now we commend the day to your prayers. Fr. David

Coffee rota

Thanks to all who have made coffee recently after the 9.30 service on a Sunday. We now need you to sign up again, please! We would also welcome more people (including the gentlemen) to help out - even an occasional offer is gratefully received. The rota lives by the kitchen hatch in the hall, so please don't be shy!
