The Sales Table

Raised £210 over the past few months for the Bushey Disability Group, so thank you as ever for your support and generosity. Starting on Mothering Sunday, 2nd March, we shall be bringing and buying for the Watford and District Talking Newspaper. This local group has been going strong now for over 30 years and posts to about 150 households a week a cassette of local news and other items of interest for the blind and partially sighted. News is  provided by the Watford Observer, and  recipes, sports features and  information come from a variety of sources including the RNIB. So please come prepared to find a bargain among our huge range of quality merchandise! 

 P.S. If you would like to become a reader for the TN, I have a vacancy in my team, which meets at our house about 5 times a year to read news items from the Watford Observer proofs on to Side 1 of the cassette, ready for duplication and posting. It takes no more than 2 hours, starting at 7.30 on a Thursday evening. Please ask me for more details. Marilyn

 On behalf of Watford New Hope Trust I would like to say a very big thank you to all those who hosted the Posada and/or gave a contribution when they signed the lovely Christmas card that Fiona made for us and/or put small change into the "penny pot" during December. You helped to raise the magnificent sum of £119.94 which has gone towards paying for the Christmas Day lunch served to over 60 people at our Day Centre.   Pip

During Lent we will have Compline with an address on the following dates at 7.15 pm: Tues 19^th Feb, Wed 27^th  Feb, Tues 4^th March and Wed 12^th March.

Kenny has received all his cards from St Matthew's, and is very pleased and grateful for them. It helps him a great deal to know that people care about him. If you want to know more speak to Jill Higgs.
