As in previous years we will be joining BOMC for their Covenant Service at 11 am followed by lunch. Please note that there will be only one said celebration at St. Matthew's at 9.30am for those who can't make the Covenant Service.

Coffee Rota

The new rota for making coffee after the 9.30 service on a Sunday is on the serving hatch in the Hall, just waiting to be filled! If you are one of the people who makes the coffee regularly or who has volunteered to do coffee or even if you haven't, please choose your slot(s) and sign up. Thank you to all who have been helping with this: we all appreciate refreshments and the chance to chat.

 

Young Matters at Bushey and Oxhey Methodists 

As you will see elsewhere in this newsletter the congregation of St Matthew's have been invited to join the Covenant Service on Sunday 13th January at 11.00. Please bring children to this service, and there will be provision for them to spend part of the service doing appropriate activities nearby. Ask me if you need more details. Sally

 

Deanery Synod –open meeting

Next meeting of Watford Deanery Synod is on Monday, 21st January 2008 at 8.00pm at Abbots Langley Methodist Church (on the corner of Langley Road & the High Street. Car parking in the public car park off the High Street) Coffee will be served from 7.45pm. The subject will be the Anglican-Methodist Covenant presented by the Revd Christopher Futcher. This is an open meeting; everyone is welcome. If you need a lift, call Bob Best on 226580. More information on the table at the back of church.

 

Week of Prayer for Christian Unity 

The full information about this year is at the back of church, but just to remind you of the dates - we have less activities, but more exciting ones (we hope), and hope for lots of participation.

Fresh Expressions Visions Day

The Watford Methodist Circuit is holding a day to explore different ways of expressing the Christian Faith. It will be held on Saturday 26th January from 9.30am to 4.15pm at St. Michael's RC School Garston. If anyone would like to go there are some booking forms on the table at the back of the church.
