Contact Sally Best about Toddlers Club or Sunday School (Young Matters).
This meets every Monday morning in term time, from 9.30am to 11.30am.
The club is open to any child under school age with whatever carer they choose to bring - we have mums, minders, dads and grannies.
There is sometimes a waiting list
Firstly, any child is welcome at every service. However, you and they may be more comfortable at the ones particularly planned with children in mind. We have a mixture of provision, and hope you can find just what meets your needs. Because it is so varied you may find it helpful to write it into your calendar!
9.30 Adult-orientated Sung Eucharist with sermon (about 1 hour)
11.15 All Age service aimed at those who have a shorter concentration span – and their children (20 – 30 minutes)
Between these 2 services there is coffee in the church hall.
At the same time, during term time, Young Matters meet in the hall, where the same lesson is given in an age-appropriate way with suitable activities. Under-3’s are also welcome to join us as an informal crèche. We join the service as the adults go up to receive Communion, and the children receive a blessing and join in with the final hymn. Over-5’s can be left if they feel comfortable, but at present most parents stay and join in.
Young Matters' collections are sent termly to a charity of the children's choice.
As 2nd Sundays.
As you will see there is something each week aimed more specifically at our younger members.
If you like to be involved in the service without worrying about a noisy baby you are welcome to use the vestry, where the service is piped through, but the congregation can’t hear you. Parents using this option often join at the same time as Young Matters.
